Alcohol policy

At Bliss Cph , all alcohol Bliss Cph in accordance with applicable Danish law, including the Restaurant Act and relevant regulatory provisions.


This policy applies to both private corporate events where Bliss Cph bar or alcohol service.

1. Compliance with legislation

The serving of alcohol in Denmark is regulated by:

  • The Restaurant Act

  • Local police regulations

  • Terms and conditions for alcohol licenses and temporary permits

Alcohol may only be served:

  1. At venues a valid alcohol license, or

  2. At locations with a valid temporary permit issued by the police.

2. Events at venues a license

When the event is held at a venue a liquor license:

  1. All alcohol is served under the Venetian license.

  2. Bliss Cph as a service provider.

  3. The staff follows the venue's rules, licensing conditions, and instructions from venue management.

3. Events at private unaccompanied locations

When the event is held on private property or at a location without a permanent alcohol license:

  1. Does the law require a residence permit issued by the police?

  2. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, permission must be obtained by the customer or organizer.

  3. Alcohol service cannot be guaranteed without the necessary permit.

  4. Legal responsibility for the temporary residence permit rests with the permit holder.

4. Age limits for guests

In accordance with Danish law:

  1. Alcohol is only served to persons over the age of 18.

  2. Staff may request valid photo ID if there is any doubt about age.

5. Responsible serving

In accordance with the principles of the Restaurant Act:

  1. Alcohol will not be served to guests who are clearly intoxicated.

  2. Alcohol will not be served to guests who behave aggressively or inappropriately.

  3. Staff can offer water or non-alcoholic alternatives.

The designated bar or event manager has the final decision-making authority.

6. Right to refuse or stop serving

Bliss Cph the right to:

  1. Refusing to serve individual guests.

  2. To limit or stop serving alcohol altogether.

This may be done for the following reasons:

  • Applicable law

  • Orders from the police or authorities

  • Venet's rules

  • Terms and conditions of grant or temporary permit

  • Safety and well-being

7. Serving time

  1. Alcohol will only be served during the agreed serving times specified in the event agreement.

  2. Bliss Cph the right to close the bar at the agreed time.

  3. Extension of serving hours must be agreed in advance and may be subject to additional costs and permits.

8. Staff requirements

In accordance with legislation and industry standards:

  1. All alcohol is served by staff over the age of 18.

  2. Bliss Cph a zero-tolerance policy regarding alcohol consumption among staff during working hours.

  3. A bar or event manager arrangement for each arrangement .

9. Responsibility regarding event venue

Bliss Cph aservice and can act as a planner, coordinator, or service provider depending on the setup of the event.

  1. In most cases, events are held at venues a valid alcohol license.

  2. Bliss Cph and collaborates regularly with venues, includingvenues, that have their own alcohol licenses.

  3. In these cases, alcohol is served under the license of the Danish Alcoholic Beverages Authority, and Bliss Cph in accordance with the terms and conditions of the license.

  4. For events at private unaccompanied locations, a temporary permit must be obtained as described in section 3.

  5. Bliss Cph provide general guidance on licensing requirements as needed.

10. Illegal substances

In accordance with Danish law:

  1. Possession, use, or distribution of illegal substances is not permitted at events where Bliss Cph service.

  2. Bliss Cphstaff are not permitted to handle, store, or accept illegal substances.

  3. If illegal substances are observed, Bliss Cph the right to:

    • Refuse service

    • Inform the organizer

    • Contact venue, security, or authorities if necessary
